ABOUT RSEA

Rising Star Equestrian Association is located in Pahrump Nv., but has members
from other areas as well. We are a open club, meaning that anyone can join
whether they own horses or not. A likable personality, common sense, and responsibility
certainly do help.

Non members can also join in activities ( for riding events a waiver must
be signed), which is a good way to decide if you want to join.
We participate in and organize several types of events, such as trail rides,
clinics, training seminars, or even several styles of horse shows.
Our membership includes several prominant people of different styles of competition,
trainers, breeders, experienced and novice riders.

There are generally several events per year and attendance / participation
are by choice as there are no mandatory attendance requirements. Most events
are free of charge with the exceptions of some of the training , clinic, and
horse shows.

We have several areas availible for various types of events, such as arenas,
Pahrump rodeo grounds, staging areas and such. We also have access to the
BLM areas that surround Pahrump which gives us access to very large areas
for trail riding in differing types of terrain. As well we also have areas
that are within easy travelling distance such as Death Valley, and others
that are known for their rich history and beauty.

Last Event

There was a fun day held at McCullough arena on Apr 06 2008, which was called a 'Mocasee'.
It was an afternoon event that went very quickly and pleasently. There were events that consisted of
programmed races. The arena length was divided into three allowing two running aisles one on each side.
The first event was to go to the other end and cross between two poles perpendicullar to the aisle, and return.
The second was to spin around one stationary pole and return.
The third was to remove a chocolate bar from a pail atop the barrel and return.
The last event was a team event hide drag

The entries ranged in age from under ten yrs to over 50 yrs sorted into three classes.
The cost was $20.00 for the three events with about a dozen entries. There is another one planned for sometime in June.
