As a side note Jim and Mary Hannah, Debra Strickland and Doug Shaw participated in the re-ride of the Pony Express trail
from the remains of the original Sand Springs station to Cold Creek (about 34 miles...we rode about 25 miles) on June 12th. It was a great
experience and we each were able to carry a Mochilla (just like the historic P.E) that started in California and will be carried to
St Joseph, Missouri.
